You know how I’ve mentioned that we have large spiders here?
Here’s one for you.
This one’s about 5 inches in diameter from tip of one bent leg to tip of another bent leg.
And this one isn’t even the largest spider I’ve seen here…

oh my, oh my, oh my!! I can’t stop looking at it even though it is probably the scariest thing I have seen all day! er…um, thanks for sharing?
Yeah, that’s kinda how I feel about it, too.
I usually scream, or at least get really startled. Then tell Fahim to remove it – he takes them outside and sets them free. If he’s not around, I spray the heck out of them with bug spray because, well, I’m just not as nice as he is.
That’s a big spider. Do you ever run across banana spiders? I don’t know if they have a different name over there. But we have them here in Florida and they are huge.

I just Googled banana spider, and we have a spider that looks very similar to the ones listed, but they’re not as big as this spider. It’s probably a related species. I have an image of that spider somewhere – just need to find it…
I can’t believe that I am thinking this, but I love snow, I love snow, I love snow. I thought that my first instinct would be to step on it, but I don’t think I would do much damage to it. It is so kind that he lets them go but I’m with you… spraaaaay…..
*laughs* Yeah, there are days when I love snow, too.
