Primal Stride Challenge 1 – 5 at 5 Day 7

squirrel on a power line, Sri LankaSince I once again had no walking companions, I’m including a photo of a frequent visitor instead.

Five at Five Primal Stride challenge –

  • I crawled out of bed at 6:30am.
  • I drank my electrolytes.
  • I did 25 laps in my garden.

Just as I finished eating breakfast after, I had a sudden onset migraine that left me unable to speak properly, remember which drugs were my migraine meds, or know what to do. It was odd only in that it came on so suddenly. Drugs taken, napping in an A/C room with eyeshades on, and while the effects of the migraine are still here, the worst of it is over.

I also wrote up a bit of a response to Seth’s previous comments about me and my pain, as well as a post on Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, the thingie that makes my life so difficult and is the cause for nearly everything that’s wrong with my health. They’re there for you to read if you like. Who knows – maybe it’ll give you another perspective into the life of a chronically ill person.

Sorry to hear of the migraine. I’ve never had headaches like that so I don’t know what it’s like, but I’ve seen people go through them and it doesn’t seem like any fun at all. Glad that it is getting over quick.

And 25 laps is great! You were aiming for 1 more each day and you exceeded that, so congratulations!

I’ve done the walking bit enough that I am getting better at predicting/interpreting data. ;) It seems I haven’t reached my limits, there have been no injuries, so I feel safe in increasing laps more than I was.

I don’t push myself to the point of injury – that would be bad. But I can do more than I have been. :)
