Six Years and No One’s Dead Yet…

Today marks our six year anniversary. 20030820 36 Six Years and No Ones Dead Yet...

Six years ago today, Fahim and I met in person for the first time.

Six years ago today, Fahim and I had our first kiss. In Sri Lanka’s airport lobby, no less, with a security guard telling us to break it up. :)

Six years ago today, Fahim proposed to me for the very last time. The last of somewhere between 150 and 200 marriage proposals.

Six years ago today, Fahim and I set up house together.

Six years ago today, Fahim and I were married.

If I knew then what I know now, would I do it again? Absolutely yes, but this time, I wouldn’t take so long getting here. :D

As for the “and no one’s dead yet” reference? That’s because of the, ah, quick way in which I left Canada without telling very many people what I was doing or even that I was leaving the country and the fact that no one, including myself had even met him yet. And all the suspicions and jokes – after the fact, of course – that he was nothing more than an axe murderer. :D

And in case you haven’t figured it out, he’s not an axe murderer. Neither am I. :)

Happy anniversary, my love. *smooches*

Oh, yeah. If you haven’t already read the story about how Fahim and I met, you really want to. Honest. It’s that link up there at the top. And it’s also here, for your convenience. If you are disillusioned with love and romance, you’ll especially want to read it. Honest. It’s a great story. :)

Thanks for the congrats and good wishes, y’all. :)

CrypticFragment, yeah, I understand disillusionment, too. I hope you have great experiences that help it pass. :)
